MARINA IVANISHVILI

Artist in focus – Marina Ivanishvili (1952 - 2025) was a Georgian sculptor, graphic artist and painter. She graduated from the Sculpture Faculty of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1976. During her active years as an artist, she primarily worked in the genres of small sculpture and graphic art, creating modernist forms in both mediums. Torsos, horses, and bulls are the main themes in her work. She also created graphic series with erotic content. This year, the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery hosted a solo exhibition of the artist – named CORPUS MARINA.
