Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us. We only receive this when you choose to send it:

• your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter;
• your name, email address and password, if you create an account;
• whatever you write to us by email.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we record technical data about visits: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and the site you arrived from. This is used in aggregate, to understand which material is read.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. We use three kinds:

• Necessary — they keep your session, remember the language you chose and remember your answer to the cookie banner. The site cannot work properly without them.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, which tells us how many people read a given article and how they found it.
• Marketing — the Meta (Facebook) pixel, used to measure our posts on Facebook and Instagram.

The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or reject the non-necessary ones. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; parts of the site may then stop working as intended.

Services we rely on

Some pages load content from other companies, which receive your IP address as a result: Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and the maps on our ATINATI MAP pages), Meta (the Facebook pixel and embedded posts), YouTube and Vimeo (embedded video), and Cloudflare (which serves and protects the site). Each of them processes data under its own privacy policy.

Why we process this data

• to publish and improve the material on the site;
• to send our newsletter, if you asked for it;
• to keep your account working, if you created one;
• to keep the site secure and to prevent abuse.

How long we keep it

Newsletter and account data are kept until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept for the period set by the services above, in a form that does not identify you personally.

Your rights

Under Georgian data protection law — and, if you are in the European Union, under the GDPR — you may ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent, or object to its processing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.

Changes

When this policy is replaced or amended, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
