LEVAN LAGIDZE

Levan Lagidze (ლევან ლაღიძე - 1958, Tbilisi) is an important representative of modern Georgian painting. In 1981 Lagidze graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. From 1983 to 1987 he served as director of the Creative Fine Art Studio at the Artists’ House in Tbilisi. The Lagidze Gallery was opened in Tbilisi in 2011. His solo exhibitions are quite often held in Tbilisi, New York and London, among other locations.
