BATUMI

BATUMI is the second largest city in Georgia and capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. It is situated on the Black Sea coast in Southwestern Georgia, andlies in a subtropical zone at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. BATUMI is located on the site of an ancient Greek colony in Colchis that was called "Bathus'' or "Bathys" – derived from the Greek term meaning 'deep harbor.'
