ჭოღოშვილი

Nino Tchogoshvili (ნინო ჭოღოშვილი) is an art historian, art critic and curator. She is an Associate Professor at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, and a guest lecturer at Tbilisi State University. In 1995 she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Art History and Theory, and has completed post-graduate studies (PhD in Art History) at the Giorgi Chubinashvili Institute of Georgian Art History. From 1994 to 1995 she studied at the University of Basel; between 1998 and1999 was DAAD fellow at the Institute of the History of Art at the University of Bonn, and in 2009 at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Nino Tchogoshvili has worked as the Chair of Art History and Theory at the Tbilisi State University and at the Chubinashvili National Research Center for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation. She is founder of the Culture and Management Laboratory (2010) and co-founder of the CCCD- Caucasian Center for Cultural Development (2000). Between 2012 and 2014 she served as an Active Dean, and since 2014 she has been Dean of the Faculty of Restoration, Art History and Theory at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. She has also curated and co-curated several projects and exhibitions. In 2007 she was curator of the Georgian Pavilion at the 52nd Venice International Biennale. Nino is the author of several research papers and publications, and is a member of ICOM and IKT.
