NEW YEAR'S GALA CONCERT

A New Year’s gala concert was held in Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater with participation of theater soloists, ballet troupe, choir and orchestra. Fragments from opera and ballet masterpieces were performed.

TBILISI PIANO FEST 2022

TBILISI PIANO FEST 2022 - Tbilisi hosted the Third TBILISI PIANO FEST. The idea of the festival is to bring together each year the world's leading musicians and pedagogues. Talented young pianists are given the opportunity to take part in interactive musical events and master classes, and to acquire an exceptional musical experience. Guests this year were pianists from New York, Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Vienna and Berlin, as well as the Georgian pianists Edisher Savitski, Sandro Gegechkori and Irma Gigani. The renowned Ukrainian-born pianist Konstantin Lifschitz also took part in the festival. The festival was held at different venues: the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, the Parliamentary Library, and master classes took place at the National Palace. For the final two days of the event, open air concerts were held on Orbeliani Square, which were led by the founder and artistic director of the PIANO FEST Dudana Mazmanishvili, together with the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra, French-Cypriot virtuoso pianist Cyprien Katsaris, and the world-famous German conductor Moritz Gnan.

QARABSHA

“QARABSHA” is a new project from the Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvilebi. Based on Georgian folk dance movements, “QARABSHA” expresses inner freedom and ethnic elements. CONCERT OF GEORGIAN ARTISTS DEDICATED TO UKRAINE

Composer Alexandre Kordzaia, jazz pianist Beka Gochiashvili, violist Giorgi Zagareli and hip-hop artist Dro (Sandro Popkhadze) got together with the idea of manifesting music that has no boundaries or genre definitions. This is the concept of the musical project: music provides the opportunity to discover new forms and express the value of freedom, even when the music is old and part of mass-culture, or even contemporary and experimental. The concert was dedicated to Ukraine. Half of the money received from the concert was donated to the Ukrainian Relief Fund / MONO HALL hosted the project

Sukhishvilebi - Georgian National Ballet was founded by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili in 1945. Throughout its history the Georgian National Ballet has appeared at The Metropolitan Opera, Madison Square Garden, La Scala and Albert Hall among others.
